iPhone 5 Lost

Ever wish the latest piece of technology that hadn’t yet hit the shelves was suddenly dropped upon your lap to play with as you see fit? If you hang out in San Francisco bars around Apple’s office, you may not have to wish long. It seems as though a particularly slippery-fingered Apple employee lost track of the newest iPhone prototype – the extremely high-status and coveted iPhone 5.
Apple hasn’t confirmed that it was officially lost, but let’s look at the supporting facts and history. Those well-versed in their internet drama will remember fondly this same situation happening when the iPhone 4 was just about to hit.
Apple employee walked into a bar last holding the most sought after piece of electronic device at that time. He left without it, and drama ensued. A writer from Gizmodo found himself suddenly in possession of the misplaced iPhone. What did an unreleased prototype of the iPhone go for those days? The writer reportedly paid $5000 in cash for the phone.
Apple didn’t take kindly to the news; fearing that their not-yet-released iPhone 4 was about to be dismantled and recorded on video for all the world to see, they denied everything publicly. Meanwhile, they hunted down and searched the home of one of his house, seizing property and searching his possessions for any sign of the iPhone. The iPhone was returned right away.
Will it be that easy for Apple to get the iPhone 5 back? Maybe. Apparently, someone hawked it on Craigslist for around $200 bucks. It’s possible they didn’t know it was the new iPhone 5 as the new phone looks identical to the iPhone 4. You’d have to boot it up and compare the software to the iPhone 4 to notice a difference.
While Apple did manage to track down the phone, they got no answers to where it led them. Reportedly, the young man linked to the Craigslist post had no idea what Apple was talking about when they demanded their prototype back. Even after they offered the confused guy money to fess up, he still plead ignorance.
There has been no word on whether or not this prototype has been found. Not to worry, the rumors of the release date of the new iPhone 5 is still October 7th.

Phone 5 Coming To Sprint

Apple, shocking nearly everyone with their decision to root for the underdog, has hinted to the fact that the new iPhone 5 will be coming to America’s smallest major cell phone network, Sprint. While people may have never given Sprint a second glance before, consumers must now carefully reconsider Sprint as a viable option for their mobile phone service.
Sprint is gearing up for the release by putting all their efforts into ramping up their 4G service. The iPhone 5 will most likely come with the ability to connect to 4G technology. If that is the case, the iPhone 5 will feel right at home on the Sprint network.
Another interesting perk of Sprint is their reluctance to move away from unlimited data plans. With Verizon’s feet planted firmly in their Pay-Per-Use data tiers, Sprint still offers its users unlimited data and has made no attempt to move away from it. (We hope this stays the norm). The possibility of an unlimited data plan for the new iPhone 5 will be the greatest perk for those customers changing contracts – one that will be tough for other providers to beat.
Is Sprint ready for all this attention? As consumers, we can hope Sprint to offer attractive pricing and terms to convert as many cell phone users as possible to their network.
Speaking of price, the iPhone 4 will become much more affordable when the new model hits. If you’ve been on the fence waiting to upgrade to the iPhone 4, you may be thinking it’s a great time with prices dropping. Although some won’t even consider getting an iPhone 4 knowing a newer and better model will come out soon. Some think it is worth the wait and cost to get their hands on the iPhone 5. Those looking for a good deal might do well to wait and see what Sprint offers for new customers.
The iPhone 5 dresses to impress. Fitted with an incredible display, it stands to be a huge upgrade from the previous model of iPhone. No longer will fingers feel cramped or screen space feel busy – a truly expansive edge-to-edge bright display sprawls across the screen giving users the ability to take space for granted. The crisp, clean graphics will impress as usual. You’ll want as much screen space as possible to ogle all of your now-uncluttered apps.
Another reason to consider skipping over upgrading to the the iPhone 4 now? The new OS, Apple iOS 5. It hasn’t even been released, which leads many to believe it will hit around the same time Sprint offers the incredible new model.
The new iPhone 5, rumored to be named the iPhone 4S, has the trappings of a truly heroic phone. From what we know this far, its vastly improved power overhaul and beautiful, side-to-side screen display will raise our bar for smartphones once again. Enjoy more space to play with your favorite apps on a crystal clear display, now being brought to you by America’s favorite 4G Network – Sprint.

iPhone 5 Pico Projector Patent

A rumor recently reported that one of the iPhone 5 features may include an integrated pico projector. A patent which was filed in August suggest that Apple has been working on a projector type feature on a cellphone for a while. Some believe that this feature may be integrated on other Apple products such as the iPad and iPod. It has also been reported that Apple has bought the domain name applepico.com.
Pico projectors are nothing new. There are other cellphones which have projectors but it was not widely accepted by the mainstream. While video media is still growing, some believe that pico projectors may become more practical in couple of years and will find its way into more smartphones. This feature would be a great solution for business presentations as well as watching movies and videos.
Usually it takes couple of years before a patent gets sent for production although sometimes it will never hit the shelves. It is possible that the pico projector may be on the iPhone 5, but there is a higher chance that we may see it in couple of years on the iPhone 6.

iPhone 5 Prototypes Being Tested

A UK publication reported that Apple has already sent out the iPhone 5 prototypes to several wireless carrier companies to test the iPhone 5 before it gets mass produced. This test is to ensure that it is compatible and reliable across all the carrier networks. To keep the secrecy of the new iPhone’s features and capabilities, they are being secretly shipped in a black box. These black boxes are locked and placed on high security. These actions may seem extreme to some but Apple does not want the iPhone 5 to fall into the wrong hands and be exposed before Apple does so themselves.
Although it is not confirmed that the iPhone 5 is what really is in these black boxes, we assume it is since it is rumored that it will be released in the upcoming months. Only a few high staff people actually get to test and see its functions. The main focus of this testing is to check if it has any compatibility issues in the different networks. It should only take a few weeks of testing before they get the thumbs up for mass production. There may be delays if any issues are found in these few weeks of testing.

15 Million iPhone 5 Units Ordered

According to recent news, it was said that a Taiwan based notebook maker would be receiving an order of 15 million iPhone 5 units from Apple. According to another source it is also said that Pegatron Technology will start the shipment in September of this year. Pegatron Technology did not give any confirmation about this news to the public however.
Pegatron began its operation by expanding its plants and employees in 2010. This expansion allowed them to supply 10 million CDMA iPhone 4. Due to the low demand of the CDMA iPhone 4, the company was only able to send out less than 4 million of the iPhone units. Their gross profits has decreased to 1.8 percent in the first quarter.
All kinds of supplying parts are already being shipped to Pegatron plants in Shanghai. Sources state that the iPhone 5 features and looks will have minor changes. It is also rumored that Apple would shipping the next generation iPhones in September.
